Hi

I am a new member. I have been reading the board some and had a question.

I saw this on ebay. It seems fake to me. I would be interested in hearing other people's opinions.

Let me be the first to welcome you to the best board on the web! Glad to have you! As for the red Cobb. In my opinion, fake. I could be wrong. It's always helpful to know more about the seller as well. The info provided doesnt tell me that. In this hobby (passion), if it smells fake, it likely is. Again, IMHO. :)

Hi

Thanks for the reply. I did see that he does not sell cards so I found that odd.

I was hoping to hear some other reasons specific to the card itself on why it may or may not be real. I have had a conversation with others who seem to think it is real. I think it looks too similiar to the fake autos on the blank backed cards.

Cobb is a heavy topic let alone with a rare back and a potential fake card or a scam. The thread has not had much traction based on others.

I would had given it a second glance, it looks pretty good to the eye and the seller has solid feedback.

They might be selling for a friend. 5000 positive feedbacks is pretty good.

It's not listed now as it seems someone may have bought it backdoor, but the best grade one could hope for is "authentic" and I would send it asap if I was taking that risk. But that price is a risky gamble, but paypal protection is a good fallback.

Listing for the curious -

Agree in the following respects. Buying from well-established, knowledgeable sellers is one of the best ways to protect yourself.

Good to have you on board,

Larry
