Really only posting this because it represents probably the last "easy" hall of famer I need. Everything after this will probably be $750-$1,000 minimum. That is very depressing to me :( Kevin warned me that I would dread this day.
Already purchased a real toughie this week, but waiting for it to arrive before I post.

I had a 1934 team signed Cubs ball with Cuyler, Hartnett and Klein, but I consigned it to LOTG for this month's auction as I am not a fan of the medium.

Congratulations also on reaching the next threshold of time and space and money in the world of Hall of Famer autograph collecting. It will get interesting from here on out.
The next step Taz becomes the $5000.00 purchase price threshold ...this is a psychological and financial and possibly a marital barrier. Good Luck

I just picked up 3 autograph albums from the 1952 Olympics held in Helsinki, Finland from a Finnish Olympic collector. He identified some of the signatures in the books but missed one of the most valuable: The coach of the U.S. basketball team, Forrest C. "Phog" Allen. There was not one, but two in the three books. Most foreign collectors recognize the medal winners, but not the coaches. Allen, along with Adolph Rupp, the 1948 U.S. basketball coach, are more valuable than almost every U.S. Olympic basketball player since 1936.

Added a couple multi-signed balls this month, one really cheap and one pretty expensive. The cheapie has some neat names for those who like the old-timers, like Monty Stratton and Jimmie Dykes, but I got it for Battle of the Bulge survivor/Purple Heart recipient Jack Knott.

The HOFer ball added three to the collection that I did not have: Pie Traynor, Frank Frisch, and Chick Hafey. Kinda overspent, but I do like it.

PS: Does anyone know who that "Sterle Bris???" is?

It's 1971. Many of these fresh-looking balls come from groups where many were signed for team p.r. projects and those that weren't spoken for were stored away, or they went to players who stored them away and they didn't see daylight again until the player died or went broke.

My 1967 Astros ball was part of a p.r. thing where they signed more balls than they needed. It cost me much more than I wanted to pay, but it's almost perfect.

I am sending this over to Richard Simon for authentication. IF it is a genuine Ruth and IF it is not traced over, it will be available for sale shortly. 1920 Babe Ruth with others including Lefty O'Doul, Fred Hofmann, Carl Mays, Herb Thormahlen and what looks to me to be Jeff Tesreau.

I'm hoping he gets the Jim Rice treatment and the media / writers forgive him. He's certainly more qualified for the HOF than Rice and ended his career by driving in 100 runs 9 years in a row.

True. If you ever question why someone is in the HOF, you might find your answer by looking at those who are not.

Im not sure albert "joey" belle should be in the hall. I caught him at the Orioles spring training one year, he only signed for kids or women. Luckily I had my gf at the time get a 97 bowman signed, it is an albert belle sig though, I still have it, saw it this week in a binder of IP/TTM autos I have.

In my opinion he was a clean Manny Ramirez with a shorter career. If Manny is one of the greatest right handed hitters of all time without the juice, Albert sure is too. Three RBI titles in four seasons, homer title, total bases two years in a row, all while not cheating at the height of the steroid era while finishing top 10 in MVP five times in a 12 year career. That's a pretty good peak. And he wasn't even done when he had to retire.

My score of the day.

A 1938 document filled out and signed by Richard Milhous Nixon. Cost me about 10x what a run of the mill Nixon should cost but I consider it a relative bargain since it is a full name sig. VERY tough to get like this. I'm pretty stoked about this one.

No doubt Albert was a talent, but IMHO a lot of the wild behavior that he exhibited as a player I thought might have been indicative of 'Roid Rage.
Albert's career ended before all of the PED testing, so I suppose we will never know...

Albert "Don't Call Me Joey" Belle was certainly a dude with some serious anger issues. Trying to run over Trick or Treater's with his car, throwing balls at fans, stalking ex-girlfriends using GPS spyware. Wow!

I attempted to get his autograph once and he told me to "f*** off". Nice guy, he wasn't.

It is funny about Albert Belle, but he was one of the best in person signing experience I ever had. We were up in Toronto for a family vacation and had to be in 93 or 94 and we stayed in the Skydome. Afterwards, we found out you could wait outside for players autographs as they would leave the stadium for the night to hit the town. Got several people that night including Carlos Baerga.

Well Albert comes out and everyone rushes to him. He puts his hand up and says he will sign for everyone just don't crowd him. He kept to his word and signed for about 45 minutes or so. Got him a few times on ball, card , and so did my brother. He did get mad one time when everyone was really crowding him and started yelling that if we didn't back up and give him room he was going to leave. Everyone backed up and he continued signing.

Here is the ball:
