With the overwhelming enthusiasm this thread prompted I figure I will add to it. Can never have too much excitement!!

So it seems the SBC owned greensheet would give market prices of the cards they graded. Sounds like an early SMR....

I was a freshman in college and selling at small shows a couple times a month in 1990. I honestly don't remember SBC (or any graded cards for that matter) back then.

That depends on whether we are talking about emotional or financial cost!

I was going through some stacks of stuff and found this old green sheet again, so thought I would bump the thread. It's been a few years. And I think this was mentioned recently in a thread.

That SBC Green Sheet is a blast from the past. I am not sure if any of the listed dealers are still active. Would love to see some of the other pages if you have images handy.

As Leon preaches (:D), every thread needs a card. I've had this SBC slab for roughly 25-30 years.

Bill Hughes is still active, spoke to him this weekend at a show.

Thanks Leon. It is interesting to look at some of these old publications.

Thanks Leon. I looked at a few T206s and the compounded annual return for the last 32 years has been about 8%. Pretty solid but I suspect less than many might expect.

Any known connection between SBC and SGC? Holders and flips look very similar to the early SGC slabs….
