There have been several threads in the past on the BF2 premiums as described on the Ferguson advertising blotter. Four such premiums are described.
The first two are called pillow top premiums, one of baseball players and a similar one of actors. A sample of each of these was sold in the recent Heritage auction. Lelands has another baseball one in their current auction.
The other two premiums are large prize pennants, again of both baseball and actor subjects. I own a number of the baseball prize pennants but have never seen an example of an actor pennant until a few days ago. I thought it might be worth sharing.

That actress pennant is very cool and possibly one-of-a-kind. Thanks for sharing.

There was another Schulte pennant in a Verkman auction a few months ago. Same issue, but different colors than the one you show here.

Thanks for posting, this is interesting.

Any idea why the actors/actresses are so rare? Is it just because nobody saved them like they did for baseball players? Or is there an indication that they produced fewer?

I've sold two different of the giant actors and I believe at the time Chad had one in his collection........

Crazy. Since I posted, another prize actress pennant has shown up on Ebay, same seller as the other one. This one is Theda Bara.
BTW I think all four of the premiums should be considered quite rare. The baseball players might have been a little more popular, but as stated above, you had to save 50 tickets in order to get a premium. That was probably quite an accomplishment.

There have been a few informative threads about Ferguson Bakery issues (which almost certainly don't include the BF2 small pennants). You can learn a lot from reading through the posts.

Discussion about whether Ferguson issued BF2's (2005) (http://www.net54baseball.com/showthread.php?t=78123)

Large pennants and pillowcases (2013) (http://www.net54baseball.com/showthread.php?t=162459)

Here are images of the 2 premium pillowcases, one ex-Luckey and the other one in the current Leland's auction.

The pillowcases have some of the same players (although not all), however they're not in the same order, plus a few players have different felt colors on the lighter pillowcase. These look to my eyes like they were homemade.

Just came across three ads that continue to complicate the source or sources for Ferguson bf2s. In these ads the actors pennants both large and small are available from places other than the Ferguson bakery, making a stronger case that the small baseball pennants may have been available from other sources . This is the first time that I have ever seen a source for the large pennants other than the Ferguson blotter ad.

good info - thanks for the share. Unsure why I did it as I've long since run out of room - but I "won" the pillow top premium of the theater stars at Heritage. Only one I've come across and I've been priced out of the market on most better early base ball stuff of a similar nature.

little bit ancillary info added to what was here that someone might find useful as they try and decipher the puzzle. If not - oh well
