There are currently 8 or 10 Cobb balls on Ebay (maybe more) that are being represented with full PSA/JSA COA's that don't even look close to me. Has anyone else noticed this? A few of them look ridiculous to me...

Visited a History of the Game retail store recently and they claim they are the biggest seller of sports memorabilia in the country

One thing that would be nice to see between "biggest seller of" and "sports memorabilia" would be the word "authentic". Though of course, that's just a 'word'. ;)

Re: the Gehrig... I don't have the knowledge to say if the Gehrig is fake or not, but how could someone definitively say it's real?

Chuck, for what it's worth, both of those are fake as hell IMO.....The Mantle is a joke...

I am really surprised there hasn't been more comments. This forum has always said the best interest is to protect the potential buyers from potential bad deals. Some of these balls are ridiculously bad, How did they get COA's? Some of these look like a 10 yr old did the forgery....I simply don't get it....

Fraud is getting to be so rampant I think there is some disinterest in the topic. That is until one of us get burned. Regardless, I think it's good we point out blatant fakes and fraud on ebay and elsewhere. It will help collectors in the long run.
