Newspaper headlines of Babe Ruth's "swan song" at Forbes Field. The Babe batted 4-for-4 that day with his final HR (#714) a tremendous drive
which cleared the RF roof of Forbes Field (first time anyone ever achieved that).
And, Jesse Owens breaking more records in preparation for the 1936 Olympics.

How's about posting some more newspaper clippings of great events in Baseball.

Ted I think you previously posted the whole article, I remember distinctly they kept referring to Ruth as "the Great Man."

Your thinking is correct, I did post this same news clipping (in it's entirety) several years ago.
I re-posted this item here in order to encourage the posting of more newspaper clippings of some of the great events (circa 19th Century - modern times) in BB.
So far, it appears that there isn't any interest in posting such stuff.
Have a Happy Thanksgiving, Peter.

That is an understatement. In 45 minutes he set 3 world records (actually 5 as 2 of his races counted for both 220 yds and 200 m) and tied a 4th, although most times had him breaking the 100 yd dash record. In my opinion, the greatest accomplishment in sports history.
