I found this in an old newspaper at a flea mkt a few years ago and hung onto it because it had this strip with a drawing of Gehrig.
Don't know what type of collectible this fits into but I believe I will save it and put it in one of my baseball card folders. Unsure whether to cut it out or leave the whole sports page intact.
Thought you guys might like seeing it.

That is very cool! Does it have a date?

Very cool. I almost always leave things intact but it's your item. Probably not a lot of value either way. There were a few newspapers that had cut outs made to be collected too.

I would leave it in one piece and not cut it out. I have a few things I cut out of a White Sox yearbook when I was a kid and wish I hadn't. My thoughts on it now are that I can always cut something tomorrow but I can't put it back in one piece. Once you do it there is no turning back.

Agreed. I wouldn't cut it - you'd lose the date being attached to it.
I also think it's interesting that it says that Gehrig is "the Yankee big shot with the passing of Babe Ruth". He didn't die, he just wasn't with the Yankees anymore.
