Asking for a friend(no really, I am)-- does this Ruth signature look ok, and if so, what is the value? It's on an index card

Thank you!

Looks very slowly written. I don't like the R at all

I don't like it and wouldn't buy it. It may be good, but I agree it looks slowly written. Is it a GPC or just an index card?

Just an index card. The back is completely blank. It belonged to the owners dad. I'm not buying it, he just wanted some help to see if it was real and how much it was worth so no one lowballs him since he doesn't collect this sort of thing.

It doesn't look slowly drawn at all. The pressure lightens considerably on the upstrokes, due to rapid motion of the pen.

I was specifically looking at the U and the T. I said I may be wrong, but I don't like it. If you say it is good, which you didn't, he should probably go with your assessment as you are an expert in Ruth. Just giving an opinion.

Unfortunately it has far less value without a TPA stamp of approval. Facts are facts. Assuming it is genuine (looks like it to me), without authentication, only a few knowledgeable people would be interested in purchasing. With authentication it opens up the pool of prospective buyers considerably.

The signature seems fairly dark overall. My guess, with authentication, would be around $2,000.
