I was wondering about the flip there...I saw your post Peter on the 2 differences. One is the A variation, and the other is the B variation.
Very Interesting nonetheless. The 'real' one you show, looks as if frosting in the B-L corner on it.
Arrgh!! which is the real deal???

Common sense. You think Legendary's was fake and some nobody on ebay with no feedback outside of fishing rods has a real one? I have a bridge, would you like to buy it? I would bet anything the ebay one is fake.

Actually it is Mastro 2005, just shows up as Legendary on cardtarget.

Pretty sure everyone agrees the Ebay one is fake, I was just pointing a small flaw on the other one, thats all.
If the new buyer sends it into PSA for the new slab, and PSA deems it fake, would PSA return the card as it was or break the slab and send it back raw as fake, so theres no intention to re-sell it again.

When I first started collecting cards I'm pretty sure you could get what would have been the equivalent to a PSA 5 '52 Topps Mantle today for well less than $5K. Ah, the clarity of hindsight. That being said, I'm not sure my parents would have bought me one even had they known...

When I was a teenager I passed on a 52 Topps Mantle for $900 that was at least a PSA 6! At the time that was a fortune to me, so I picked up a 53 Topps Campy instead, since it was more affordable. Oh well.

Yea if we only knew back then. I would have stocked up on unopened boxes or cases of 86 fleer basketball along with the Mantles. They couldn't give that stuff away back in the day. I think a box goes for about 30k now.

right we all thought cards could go up a lot in value on cards we bought in the 80s just like everyone else...and guess what..some of them did and could of gotten rich on them...there are cards in the 2000s where 30 years from now it will be the same thing...but hard to know what..
