Earlier today I went from never owning a GI Joe to owning 130 of them and several tanks, boats, planes, helicopters, and a bunch of other cool stuff. I work seasonally and get the winters off so I bought this huge lot cheap and am hoping not to lose too much $ selling it on eBay this winter in my spare time.:D

Holy crap....you just brought back some memories!!!

I probably had 3/4 of those men and vehicles...until I blew them all up with firecrackers when I was 15!

I would have been like you and blew them up.:D

I bought them from my little brother. He is finally getting rid of all his childhood toys and is internet challenged. He wanted me to sell it as one big lot. It took a while to talk him out of that because he mainly wanted to get rid of them and was hoping for $150. I gave him several times that amount and we are both happy.

I am going to keep at least two of the dolls, I mean action figures. The Techno-Viper because I think he looks cool and one of William "The Refrigerator" Perry.

The 80's stuff does well, especially the first ones from the early 80's with "straight" arms.

The black jet on the top row. My favorite toy as a kid. Also if you have the pilots that thing is worth a pretty penny.

I know I have the pilots for that and the people for other stuff as well. That black jet is huge, its 27" long.

I also have the ID cards for almost all the people. Took me a couple hours to match them up today. Now for the real fun part I need to match up the weapons and backpacks for all of them. I am guessing it will take quite some time.

Anybody know the best way to clean up old plastic toys like these. The action figures are not bad but the bigger toys are covered in dust. I used my air compressor with a small blow nozzle but that only removed the loose stuff. Thanks for any help.

You can probably clean the vehicles carefully with a lightly damp sponge or rag, don't overdo it on the areas with stickers. Complete loose vehicles and figures with all their accessories and in nice condition sell best. The Cobra Night Raven jet, G.I. Joe Killer W.H.A.L.E. hovercraft, Cobra Moray Hydrofoil, and G.I. Joe Tomahawk helicopter are the best vehicles in your group.

I love G.I. Joe vehicles but they take up too much space!

They are cool. At first I was going to sell everything. Then I was going to keep 1 action figure, now I am at 8 and a few vehicles that I am keeping.

Kinda weird collecting dolls at my age but then again I do collect pictures of much younger men in uniforms.:D

Nothing wrong with it at all! Vintage toy collecting is a very large market. I was just on an episode of NFL Films presents with some of my Starting Lineup collection. People love toys....age doesn't matter. Enjoy your joes.....warning, it can ge addicting :)
