I won't be bidding, as there is too much other stuff other than just the four cards I would be interested in (Jennings, Marquard, Atz and Merkle).

If you are looking for a bidding partner, I do have a figure in mind of what I think those four should go for, and what I am willing to contribute to a win. Just let me know.

Thanks.

Ed

I resemble that remark :)

OK the head writer at H &S pays attention to this board as well. So he has had an equal effect. (And note for the grammarians, effect and affect are interchangable) :D

I've heard from three board members now, and I would like to contact each of you, or basically get all four of us together, to make sure we don't have three guys bidding up the lot when it might be possible to all work together and maybe get what we all want in the long run.

Unfortunately, I don't have email addresses for two of you, so I can't just contact all through an email. If you've contacted me, please email me at

edmccollum@cox.net

and we'll see what everyone is after and hopefully not start an unnecessary run up on the value of the cards.

Thanks again to everyone on the board for help with rebuilding the collection.

I know the lot went for more than two of the board members had wanted to go, so don't know if anyone on the board was the winner. But if so, I'd be very interested in hearing from you.

Thanks.

Perhaps Huggins and Scott would be gracious enough to send an email to the winner for you, since this is a fairly special circumstance.

Greg,

Already has been arranged :)

My Best,

Yes, I reached out to James about a week ago, and he has given me the name of the person at H&S I would need to contact. Thought I would have a few days between the end of the auction and before I needed to forward on my message just to see if a board member might be the winner. But thanks to H&S, who has my back on this also.

In future T206 lots we could keep an eye out and just try to arrange a private sale.

and all is good.

Thanks to everyone on the board, and to James at H&S for making this happen.

Thanks again.

You'll all be happy to know that these four gentlemen are soon to be reunited with their old friends . . .

I picked them up at Huggins & Scott (House of Cards) this afternoon. It's always fun to visit an old school shop.

Just wondering, what is the story behind these cards? It seems interesting..
