So this one is actually listed as a reprint, but appears to be in a real SGC holder. And in MT 9 no less. Any thoughts on how this got into an SGC holder, or is that fake as well. It certainly looks good enough to fool a lot of people and I can only imagine the people bidding are hoping somehow that this is real. Either that, or that they can fool someone else into believing it it.

The case looks cracked. If you look closely at the pictures, there is really clear frosting around two of the sides. I would imagine someone just slipped a fake in there.

My guess is that it is a fake holder obvious scam. Since they spelled Topps as Toops. Crazy what people are bidding. My guess is that most if not all of the bidding is fake as well. Hopefully no one actually buys this reprint for several hundred if not over a thousand dollars.

I didn't notice the toops until just now. I still have to wonder who's biding cards like this up. We gave the guy who paid $50 for a fake 51 bowman mantle a hard enough time on the pre-war board. But $700 or perhaps even a grand or more for a reprint seems pretty crazy to me.

Toops LOL, For some reason most of the fakes coming out of Russia are Toops cards.

Seen several of these before but usually in PSA slabs. With a little practice the SGC slabs can be cracked and resealed with very little evidence. Until recently the PSA slabs where just as easy to crack and reseal. As much sh*t as I talk about PSA I will give them a lot of credit for finally using a slab that is actually tamper proof hopefully SGC will do the same.

I still don't get how someone could go through all of the trouble to crack out legitimate flips, replace with fake ones, and mis-spell "toops" If the font or color is off that's one thing. But at least spell the names right.

Unless that's part of some legal strategy where they can say these weren't meant to fool anyone, we didn't even spell topps right.
