Found this last week and knew the moment I saw it, what its new purpose would be. Had been looking for a frame to compliment my 1914 Reds photo for a while and its a perfect fit. It even has the original wavy glass. Not bad for $25 bucks:D

Looks great Chris, however it may look better without the white mat, or with a cream or black mat.

That's a real beauty! I agree with the suggestion about color of the mat.

Chris,

It also looks great against the exposed brick wall!

Vintage frames are my among my favorite things to buy when attending garage/estate sales. Here are a few of my examples of vintage pieces placed into inexpensive vintage frames.
Sorry for the poor quality of the cell phone photos.

I have grabbed more than a few frames at estate sales for the purpose of repurposing them. Save money and looks great

NEW MAT! NEW MAT! Sweet picture and frame though.

I know, I know, the mat looks bad, but primarily because I bumped up the contrast of the photo to show the beauty of the frame. The mat actually, has more of cream tint when hanging on the wall inside, but I'm tinkering with putting an olive colored mat in there as well. Will post when done. Thanks for everyone's input! Let's see more!

I really like the original embossed cardboard to include the stamp of the studio.
I would have the frame & glass resized to show off as much as possible. Skip the new mat altogether.
