Have you all seen the auction over at REA? They're selling a near complete set of '52 gray backs, INCLUDING a Pete Reiser! I was sorely tempted to dig into the coffers and bid on this set, but based on what the bidding is up to already, I think this set will go for big, big bucks.

The Reiser is 189, the exception

They are also not Doeskins.

I think it will go for big bucks. After making my find and selling off the lowest condition one, it had a hole, I've been reading up on them. I have a handful that I want to get graded. I just don't know what to "value" them at for PSA purposes.

It will go for a lot less if the Reiser is a cream back, as REA indicates. That's the one we are all looking for. Still willing to trade a PSA 4 House/gray back/yellow logo....

That's the damndest thing about the Reiser...has there been any speculation as to why the Reiser is so scarce, given that there should be more or less equal numbers of each card?
