I;m not a collector of modern cards, primarily interested in 50's and 60's hockey cards. October 2014 I bought in on a Panini Prime Box break on the Bay. Not a bad deal for $3 and I was curious to see how these "Box Break" things work. I ended up winning a quad jersey autograph #'d to 199 one of the hottest rookies the NHL has seen in a while, Vladimir Tarasenko.
Sent the code to Panini in early November 2014. It's almost a year now and no sign of the card or info about when it might be coming. I checked their website yesterday and noticed something insane!!
They are just now sending out redemption's that were sent to them in 2011!!!!
I guess there's a lesson in there somewhere, personally it's pissing me off because I promised the card to a kid who thinks this Tarasenko guy is the Russian Bobby Orr.
Any other Panini horror stories?
I mean this guy has signed everything except the President's forehead. his auto's are everywhere, and Panini can't get these cards out in a timely manner?
NEVER Again, this is why I stay away from all the gimmick cards out there these days.
