Just happens to have a 1951 Rookie Mantle and a 1952 Topps Manle a rookie Namath and a rookie Clemente.

being the shrewd businessman to by a storage locker it makes sense that you take those business skills and not get those legit cards graded..why bother...guess all the bidders are much smarter then the seller because its the bidder's idea to get these legit cards graded...

man bidders are so much smarter than this seller....no way the seller thinks of those same things ..

I like how he adds,

"As I have encountered some non paying winning bidders, please only bid if you will be paying for the card within a day or 2 of the closing of the auction so I can ship the card out to you as soon as I can."

0 reported sales and 0 feedback. I'm sure this has been a big problem for him. Must have been one heck of a storage find.

Reprints have gotten a lot better over the years. It's getter harder all the time to spot them. I don't collect football, and doubt I could tell if that Namath is real or fake. I would like to think buying graded cards protects you from accidently buying a fake, but I'm not even convinced they always get it right.

Every time I see those perfectly worn emery board corners on a card like that 52' I keep on clicking to the next listing unphased.

That was the other ID they previously used that is now suspended!

david,

agreed on some of these reprint these days. it's scary. here's a lil tip in regards to pre56 cards (I think). anything after this year glows. grab a lil black light flashlight and shine on.

here's an example on a 52 mantle that was retouched and ya can spot the difference in paper:
