As an "oldtimer" I am NOT a TPG collector.

It makes me wonder why collectors continue to send their good money to these companies when they obviously do not know what they are doing.

The latest is below. The card is obviously a reprint. Anyone who knows cards could tell by just looking at the front but the gray back really gives it away.

And the seller is not any better, he lists the card as Whitey Ford when it is Warren Spahn.

I know this is not Pre War, but wanted to get the most eyes on this as possible.

Well from a comic book and "adult item" seller what did you expect?

Authenticating a fake is never a good thing. Crap happens. Someone from PSA should contact the seller.

Seller should change his feebay name to:
baseballcards-and-knuckleheads. :D

I understand the seller does not have a clue. But the bigger issue here is PSA in my eyes.

How could they make such a gigantic mistake? And how does this reflect on other "work" they do?

If this was a car mechanic and he put a wrong part in your car would you use him again to do work for you?

They had done a very poor job on exhibits. I think they have given up on grading many exhibits.

I would rather have a TPA (Authenticator) that I could trust more than a TPG. Just tell me if the card is authentic and if it has been altered. And if it has been altered, what was done to it. I don't care what your subjective opinion is on the grade. But then it's the sizzle that sells, not the steak itself.
