I'm thinking about doing a T 206 back run on Gandil as I have a few already. I've seen the Hindu and Hindu Red but was curious for those that keep up with confirmed lists does that card come with some of the tougher backs like Carolina Brights, Broadleaf and Lenox? If anyone knows that could let me know. Thanks!!

Just type Gandil in the last name blank and hit search and you will have your answer!

Glad to help, it is a great site. You can also leave the fields blank and select a back type to see all confirmed cards (as well as many other search variations). Thanks to the guys at The Resource for all of their work.

I actually was just doing that. Seeing how many confirmed Carolina Brights, Broadleafs etc. I'm surprised how many of the backs are not available with Gandil. I guess that's good and bad. The toughest seems to be the Red Hindu.

Red HINDU is not the toughest for Gandil. In fact there was a red HINDU Gandil on ebay for weeks that was removed from the listing last night.

Actually, a tougher back than red HINDU on Gandil is the OLD MILL.

And, though Gandil with a UZIT back is theoretically possible, it has not been confirmed yet. This front/back combo would be the toughest.

Hey Ted,
This front-back combo is also pretty tough. Oh wait, this isn't a T206! :D

Gandil is a 460 only subject so he wasn't printed in Brown Hindu, you must
have him confused with someone else or the one you saw was a fake.

I misspoke. I've only seen the Red Hindu not the Brown.

Interesting that the Old Mill is tougher than the Red Hindu. Any idea how many of the Old Mills are confirmed? I picked up a EPDG about a year ago that one seems to be a tough one as I haven't seen many of those listed on Ebay or here. I've got the polar bear and piedmont in addition to that one. I did see that Red Hindu on Ebay it was out there for a while. I want to say the person was asking in the $1500-1700 range and I think it was a 2 grade. I could be wrong on that. What do you think a Red Hindu Gandil low grade say 1.5-3 should go for? What about the Old Mill in similar?

A little off topic but I was playing around with this site and didn't realize there were so many more confirmed Drum backs that Uzit backs. This site is showing 149 confirmed Drums and only 54 confirmed Uzit backs. Is that right?

Correct - I think that changed with a pretty large (compared to what existed, anyway) Drum find a few years ago.

SGC's pop report regarding Gandil indicates 4 red HINDU's and only one OLD MILL.

I don't have PSA's data for this situation.

The recent ebay listing of the PSA2 red HINDU Gandil was $1750.

I acquired this red HINDU Gandil a year ago in a cash/trade deal that totaled $2200. One OLD MILL Gandil went for approx. $4K in an auction this past year.

Like Ted said, any of the 12 are very very tough to find in OM. In a recent REA auction a handful of them surfaced, I believe some 1/1s or 1/2s.

Here's a link to a thread I posted last year regarding the scarcity of the OLD MILL backs on the 12 cards in the 460-only series that I refer to as the "Exclusive 12".
This group of 12 subjects includes Gandil. I think you should find it interesting......
