I wanted to get a few opinions. Another member warned me that this seller has been suspected of shilling auctions in a previous Net54 post. Any thoughts on this one?

who cares..just offer what you think its worth..if no one really offers more than you will see the card for sale again and know it was shilled..

I will do that, just wanted to see if anyone else had an opinion. Looks like the high bidder has 16 retractions in the last 6 months. That seems excessive to me.

who cares..

Who cares about shilling? A great many people, including quite a few Net54 members.

Maybe all these guys also specialize in Ice Cream collectibles. It seems to be an accepted practice in that venue. :D

I agree Eric but I understand what he's saying. I will bid up to what I feel a card is worth and obviously can't control if the auction is being shilled or not. I was just curious to see what the community thought about this one. It doesn't look right to me.

My humble opinion is this:

Shilling = the economic principe of Perfect Price Discrimination.

If things don't look right to you, then don't bid. Let the snake oil salesman move on to someone else. Hopefully, that person will be a member of Law Enforcement or the Justice System.

Best regards,

Eric

right my point was that I didn't mean who cares about shilling in general...just that who cares about a listing whether shllled or not .as long as car is real can always make an offer of what you think its worth.....if card sells above what you offered that not shilled..
