I would appreciate if anyone can shed some light on the baseball bat in this photo?

The bat measures 29.5 inches and does have some damage at the top of the barrel.

Thank you.

Lucky.

It's hard to tell a lot from that picture Lucky. Any more close up pics? Any markings on the bat? While not the same bat, it looks very similar to this bat on ebay....

Does the bat in your pic have similar characteristics as the bat on ebay?

Hello Joe,

I have a couple of more photos, but nothing more. I have tried to obtain more information from the individual who is selling the lot but he has not responded back. I will keep you posted if he does provide more details on the bat.

Thanks again for all your time and valued input.

Lucky.

Lucky, from what you've posted it appears that the bat would date from late 1880's to mid 1890's but it's hard to be specific. How much does the bat weigh, what is the diameter of the barrel, and are there lathe marks on the ends? If so what do those marks look like? Also are there any marks inside the red ring?
