I've been sitting on a '59 Topps set for nearly 20 years and I'm considering parting with it. Only 28-30 are graded (old SGC labels). Grades are all 6-8.5. Variation cards (no option statements etc) a little lower. Raw cards range from 4s to 9s. High numbers being lower grades.
The Mantle is a solid 7. Gibson is a 8.

What would be the best way to part with it? Should I invest $1000 (or more) and send the best 100+ to PSA? Crossover the SGCs? I'm not looking for a quick sale and really haven't decided to part with it entirely. Thoughts?

Hate to say, but perhaps PWCC or that other guy
If not try a auction house, like Heritage or REA
Back in the ol' days of SGC, they were more lenient i assume or heard, so crossing over now may have similair results to PSA. You could have eratic grades your not expecting, heck some may pop 8-9's and me may only get 2-3's or worse (auth's or not size requirement) No way telling without pics of course. So, why waste 1k on that, when you know what you have and a collector should see its value.
The National's would been good to sell, let a friend sell it for you, that has a booth.
