We are wrapping up the vote for the best Topps set of the 1950's in another thread and now need a set to represent the wonderful 1960's. Please cast your vote for the top set of the 1960's using any qualifying factors you see fit. :D

1965. Many of the best HOF'er cards of 60's (Mantle, Aaron, Mays, Gibson). The banners/color combos are great.

You nailed it. There is something very truly appealing about the look and colors of the 1965 set. I'm sure it was a dream come true to the autograph collectors of the time, too. Beautiful pictures to get signed. This is probably my favorite set of the pre-action shots era.

Another vote for the 65 set. I had a more difficult time with the 50s set but not 60s.

'67 for purity of design and photography

I do think the '65-'67 sets are the best three year run in Topps history

I wonder if all would agree 1961 is the worst!

1967 here as well.

I had a feeling it was going to be a match race between 1965 and 1967.

Also, as for the worst, have to agree with 1961, but what about 1964 as well?

I like the '65 set, but for me the '69 set is a close 2nd.

Hell no. It's my second favorite :)

1962 and 1969 are my least favorite, and I don't get the love for the 1967s either, but to each his own.

This one is quickly turning into a two horse race

I guess I may be the only one who loves them all, but the '67 is the best (in my view).

Your view is correct Mark. Someday you will have to explain it to Todd so he gets it :)

He was at least right about 61 being a good one too

If you're really keeping track I accidentally voted for 66 instead of 67. My three year old was "helping " me. That means take one 66 away and put in onto 67. Sorry.

OK thanks .. I'll adjust the total if there is a one vote difference at the end of the vote.

Drew-- maybe your little one prefers 66. His vote should matter :)

True that. The kid has a better eye for cards than his daddy. :)

Well first "he" is a "she" and just tonite I caught her looking through a box of junk 90s stuff. I believe she was looking at 91 Leaf so I'm not sure about the better eye part but heck, I'm just glad she is looking at any cards. Haha.

Oops, sorry about that. FWIW, I think 1991 Leaf is better looking than 1967 Topps too :)

Just as a side note, I really like the way Donnie put the "1967" set in italics; I'm assuming this is due to him thinking this set should be the clear cut winner :D

I voted 67 with 65 a close second. I like the simplicity of the 67 set and it was a challenge to build this set. I still go back and look at the high #s fairly often. I'm sure that is part of why it like it so much.

The pennant design of 65 is pretty darn cool though. Probably my favorite design of the '60 sets.

Mark... 67 is in italics to you because that's the year you voted for. :D

I'm going with 1963. I like the inset photos and its a colorful set. The Photos are higher quality and the quality of paper is really good.

After that I go with 1960 and then 1967.

I went with the 1963 set as well. 1969 has to be my least favorite.

Would love to have a few more votes to break this virtual tie. The winner goes up against the 1956 Topps set and the yet to be determined 70s set.

Thanks for voting :-)

Since it is so close, you could include both in the final poll.
