I am confused on this baseball. It has a 1927 front panel and a 1928 bottom panel. Please help...

I think the font of "American League Ball" was changed to that script in 1926. "The Cork Center" was also changed to "The Cushioned Cork Center" the same year so your ball shows a mis-match.
Is that the "th" of a Ruth signature on the side? Also the seams look awfully wide which makes me think it's a reproduction.

I checked brandons book. thats where the heart break is because its a mix of 2 years. If it is a reproduction how do I find the year?
