I think you can date them until at least after 1973, as the left one makes note of post-career election to AL Pres in 1959 and remarks his name was on the baseballs for 14 years.

Are you sure? I think I used that font in MS Word this morning.

I checked all Cronin and Cochrane cards that have ever been on COMC from 1970-1999 and they don't match any of them. Maybe a regional issue?

Ne1? I did Reverse image searches and came up with nothing. :(

I've spent more of my Friday night than I am willing to admit trying to figure these out.

What card stock is it? The Cochrane is a general photo used in biographies, but I cannot find the Cronin anywhere.

I believe it is an 70's or 80's reprint of some sort.

Richard, they are inserts from a 1991 issue of Sports Card News.

Here's a Lou Gehrig I found on eBay

Thanks Jay. I spent most of my day also trying to find out what they were.

Good timing for this question, I was wondering what this Joe Jackson was when it showed up the other day and now I have an answer:

I notified the seller; we'll see if they take it down or not.

Seller response:

Dear mjohnatgt,
