Do these increase value at all ? I'd think not but curious to what others think.

Not at all. They are an obvious nuisance. Some will say, no issue, just send it back and the TPG will correct it but what a MAJOR pain in the behind to have to do that.

Just my 2 pence,

Peace, Mike

There was a T206 Honus/Heinie mixup several years back that an eBay seller tried to take advantage of: http://www.net54baseball.com/showthread.php?t=114399

unfortunately too common to be rare. Or even scarce.

Josh,

I've had two cards mislabeled by PSA in the past. Both times I've called
customer service, explained my situation and asked if they'd be willing to
correct the labels. Both times the only "trouble" is that they asked for scans
of the front and backs of the cards. The customer service lady sent me an
email with a step-by-step instruction for how to resubmit for correction.
There was no fee for this service.

My suggestion would be is to give your TPG company a call an explain your
situation. I'm sure they'd be happy to work with you.

Best of luck,

ErikV

Here is one mistake that could potential add value to the card. There aren't a ton of Old Judge experts out there, but there are people that know how to use a population report and if you really think only two Vincent Dailey cards have been graded and this is one of them, then you might pay a lot more. This card however is a common player, Edward Daily (misspelled Dailey on his card), while Vincent Dailey is extremely uncommon, possibly 2-4 exist of his only pose in the set. An Edward Daily/Dailey in this shape is probably $150. A Vincent Dailey is $50,000+

I hate mislabeled cards. If they make their way into the collection I don't keep them long.

Wow well fortunately I don't have any mislabeled cards. Though T206 completely gets Fred Payne's name incorrect and he is referred to as "Billy" Payne in the set. I have seen once before a PSA slab where they have his correct name "Fred" Payne instead of Billy.

Thanks for the posts guys. I didn't think they'd add value but glad I thought so and you guys confirmed it.

I have one from SGC on a Kahn's card that I won in a LOTG auction. I contacted SGC, and was told they would re-holder it for free if it was mislabeled, and that I would be responsible for postage to and from them. Have not decided what to do yet.
