Every major league and a lot of minor league teams make facsimile
Baseball
People have them and 60% think they are real.
Impress your friends by spending 80 bucks on a Ruth

Someone paid $105 knowing it was a Cobb reproduction (http://www.ebay.com/itm/Ty-Cobb-Signed-Autographed-OAL-Baseball-Green-Ink-Signature-/221732641888?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item33a04b9c60&nma=true&si=mf1DU%252FZsmw12JjIggGcoUp4%252FiJw%253D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557)
While it sucks, not a whole lot can be done. I guess you can simply arm yourself with knowledge and prevent yourself from being ripped off.

Also, I think the seller should put "facsimile" or "reproduction" in the heading...not just the description. It's a bit deceptive to leave it out of the title of the item.

Jim.
The difference being the team facsimile signed baseballs are very easy to tell, you can tell from a digital pic. The single signed facsimile baseballs are not so easy to tell.
