I was wondering if this Sandy Koufax auto is good or bad. Thank you for any help.

What book is that on? I'd be surprised if he signed the Jane Leavy book about him.

Can't weigh on the auto but that is the Levy book. Great read although I can understand why Koufax might hedge on signing it.

Thanks guys. Yes it is on the Levy book. What was the issue with her?

Having read the book and knowing of the notorious Koufax sense of privacy,I think that he was not going to cooperate with her.Plus, his friends helped him guard his privacy. He did not appreciate anyone divulging personal stuff on his background. He was all about team not "I" when he took the field.Guess he took it to his personal life also.

I agree with the above statement. It's not that it's a typical "tell all" type book that opens his life's closet to reveal the skeletons there but it wasn't authorized by Koufax and give a good deal of information about his private life which it seems that he guards very well and has his while life.

Any other thoughts on the autograph?

It looks like an in person auto I got about 7 years ago.

The signature also looks good to me, but Jim does bring up a good point that if Koufax didn't like what was written about him in the book, I would wonder why he signed it...unless he's over it now or just doesn't care.

Thanks everyone for the feedback. The individual I bought it from works for a local radio station and across the street is where Sandy goes to get his suites tailored when hes in the area. The guy is friends with owner of that shop and asked him if he could sign it next time Sandy was there. I do find it believable because I've heard that is where Sandy goes. Anyways I thought it was a pretty cool story.
