Sports Illustrated featured a Milwaukee Brave on the cover 8 times between 1954 and 1960. How many of the times was the player Hank Aaron?

Pretty easy...0. Aaron doesn't even get a cover until 1969.

Pretty crazy, huh? Even Del Crandall gets two!

What would make the trivia question really hard would be to ask what Hank Aaron's first solo magazine cover was on a national publication.

Looks like it might be the June 1962 Sport Magazine.

I can find him on covers with other stars starting in 1957ish on a Famous Slugger with Mantle and Kluszewski, but nothing by himself until Sport 1962.

I had incorrectly believed my June 18, 1959, JET was his first solo cover.

But then I came across this October 1957 issue of American Forests! Wow, how obvious should that have been??

Seems like there was an SI cover which showed all of the NL All-Star starters...the year that Cincinnati stuffed the ballot...was Aaron one of the none Reds?

I wonder if this is the one you mean. The National League row is a who's who of the greatest post-war NLers of all time + Del Crandall!

I just put together this resource for anyone interested...it's probably the most complete guide to Hank Aaron magazines (1954-1976) anywhere on the Web.
