Got this card from listia

front is a little splotchy

however when you look at the back, 1978s stats are almost in a different font and also skewed a bit differently

I looked at close to 40 1980 #230 Winfield cards and they all looked like that.

Yours may have the Boy George variant ma(n)scara happening. Look at those guyliner accents around the eyes!

I always wondered why they airbrushed his eyes and eyebrows on that card. It rivals the 1989 Topps Wade Boggs with cataracts card.

I kind of hope the photo slide for this card shows up in the Topps Vault to see how much better it really looks than the actual card. That's something that has frustrated me, seeing Topps continuing to reproduce their old, poor quality photos on Archives sets, while selling off the materials that would allow them to use better, sharper versions of the same photos. Hopefully they're digitizing all the negatives and whatnot they are selling. Pity they're not using them.

they have a ton of quality photos.

what really irks me is that they took photos of so many guys who never got cards or updated uniforms.
