I have a 60-day approval on this one and before sending it off to PSADNA for a review I thought I'd ask around here:

I can't comment on authenticity because I'm not familiar with Duke's signature, but if it is real, I think it's really cool.
I wonder if anyone has tried to do a signature collection to go along with a '33 Sport Kings set?

Here is one I sold a few years ago that was unquestionably authentic, but signed in 1932. Although there are major differences in formation, I actually think your is fine and was just a later in life example.

It looks a little 'forced' or cramped. Even at this time his signature still had some flow to it. I had one from about tht time that was absolutely beautiful with great flow, but I don't have a scan as I sold it long before I was saving images of Olympic signatures. If you look at the signed gun purchase receipt on ebay under collectibles/autographs from the same period you will see what I mean.

I would not say it is bad but I have seen much nicer. If it is priced under $550 I would probably grab it. A lot of Hawai'ians buy his signature so they are not common to the market at lower prices.

Like Rhys, here is a 1932 signature signed on the menu of the steamship S.S. Mariposa that he took to Los Angeles for the 1932 Olympics where he was an alternate on the water polo team. The person I sold this one to just sold it in an auction in Germany for €700 ($875) in October.

Here is an example from my collection. Just to muddy the water!

PSA declined to opine on it and I wasn't warm and fuzzy about it so I sent it back. It may well be good but for the money I won't be chancing it.
