Thanks Joe and Brock, for your comments and questions.

I'm moving the information from this thread to a more useful venue.

Not clear what your point is Scott? That game prepared is not the same thing as GU? If so agree completely, but I stay clear pretty much of all modern GU. Not my thing and feel many collectors in this space are content to delude themselves.

On a side note. The ball in the first pic sure does look "deflated"???

Someone winning one of these will be very disappointed when they learn about this. I wonder what PSA would have to say about this?

That pretty much sums up why I steer clear of this area. No offense intented - I can appreciatte these items, I just don't have the patience or care enough to do all the due diligence to be certain on these items. I do admire those that do and just don't trust a sticker or piece of paper. I would love a ball from one of the a Giants SBowls, if I knew it for certain, but I won't delude myself believing what I want to believe. Scott - I do hope you can find a true gamer from the NFC champ game.

Hmmm, I guess they consider any football that was in a ball bag somewhere on the field that day as a game ball. NFL doesn't have many scruples, doesn't know what "game used" means, or just doesn't care.

Marshawn Lynch could tell his overlords to go pound sand a millions times over, and it wouldn't upset me. I don't care if he's a millionaire himself because of them (or us), or not.

Scott,
Not trying to start anything but acouple questions.

1. Based on the amount of wear a football might see during game action, could the officials sharpie markings be smeared off because of contact? The one football in hunts does look like there might have been silver sharpie at one point.

2. Wouldn't this be more of a problem against the Seahawks? They're the ones who probably provide the NFL with the balls to sell and the NFL/PSA lists it as what's said to them.
