This weekend (January 30-February 1) there is a card show on the North Carolina State Fairgrounds in Raleigh. We will be set up near the entrance. Stop by and mention this thread and I will give you a 10% discount on your purchase. I hope to see many of you there.

I always enjoy this show. Im doing my usual overnight trip and going bright and early Sunday morning. I like Raleigh its like a cleaner, less dangerous Richmond:D

Was there earlier today (Friday) and going back tomorrow. I'll have my Net54 golden Cy Young shirt on, so if you see it, say hi. Or run away. Whichever you prefer. :)

I'll be there today from about 12-3. Red checkered shirt and I'll probably be carrying a black backpack.

Good selection of Mantles with a couple of dealers. Otherwise the show is about 3/4 full.

Definitely a lot to see today. A couple of the regular prewar guys aren't there this weekend, but Larrie has it covered. I ran into Taylor at Dave's table - was great to meet you guys. I didn't pick up anything major, but did get a bunch of nice ~EX '53 Bowmans to reach 59/224 for my set (I may have pulled the 12 best-centered ones in the entire room, man that set can be a mess sometimes). Looking forward to the next one.

How much were those 1953 Bowman Color commons going for?

I was buying commons for about $20-22 on average - those were about EX condition with good centering/register and minimal snow/PDs. Some were high-numbers. A couple of the minor stars were more in the $35 range, and I also picked up a couple for less. One of the dealers was coming down about half off his sticker price; the other started with a lower sticker and came down about 25%.

I've bought VG/VG-EX commons at the show anywhere from about $3 to $15 before.

Paper Boy was there but I didn't even speak to him today. Just wasn't in the mood. My financial situation had a minor hiccup revealed to me last night. I am going to have to push more .99 cent auctions than I want to.
