Its getting annoying on ebay with LOW POP mentions on cards..

some say low pop just for the grade...like low pop for a psa 4 cause only three psa 4s..but there are 1000 cards over psa 4

Low POP is one thing, but what is the demand for the card. There are several 1952 topps cards that aren't Mantle that are in less POP than 1952 topps Mantle .....

im sure there is a Care Bear card from 1983 or whatever that's PSA 7 with 'none graded' higher.....:)

I wish they could put a number for the 'demand' ...how many people on the registry have better conditioned cards and how many people overall are even on a registry that has that card or a that card in lesser condition.....of course that's way too much work and I not actually saying that is possible........just a gripe

You could easily do a worthwhile doctoral thesis on the matter of "DEMAND". Lots of factors--- some definite, many subtle, comprise that most pivotal quality of a collectible. "Demand" can also evaporate over the years, or come roaring back, though the latter happens rarely.

Say, I took the trouble of checking out your registered 52 Topps set you're working on. Wow, lots of great cards. Especially liked your Jackie Robinson. It matters not one bit it was one of the three double-printed last series cards. The demand for that Jack is off the charts. In my opinion, it's 25 times better-looking than the vaunted 1948-49 Leaf.

Anyway, hope you find what you're on the prowl for right now.:D ---Brian Powell

You could report them to eBay using the Report this Item for keyword spamming. Ebay may inform them to stop using those terms on common items that have very few poorly graded cards that they're comparing them against.

How about a low pop 2014 rookie card of some player. You could mangle it to the point where it only gets a "1" grade. It would be a low pop card for it's grade. It could be the only card of that player graded a "1" that is available (until some other genius figures it out). :D
