I just won this transparency today that I think is Wid Conroy. Was wondering if anyone had seen these before and opinions on wether this is in fact Conroy. He was a pretty great third baseman and I swear Ive seen this pose before. Also it appears to be a Senators uniform but I am not 100%

I also won this one that I think is Jim Delahanty but wanted opinions on it as well (Attached the back of this so its reversed. The batter is actually right handed as Jim Delahanty was)
Thanks!

I actually had some of these slides (non sports) and also had an original tin projector. You can find various projectors that these went in on Ebay for anywhere from $50 to $500 each. Very cool!

Yep . We talked about this before on here and all I can remember is those who did it said you need a full light source . A scanner might not cut it .

Ill have to try it. These would look killer in a 8x10

A regular scanner that has templates for 35mm negatives and transparencies (slides) most likely would not work as the light source scans for the width of image. A photographic flat bed scanner would work as the light source is designed to do a full flatbed scan with the negative/slide holders masking the light for the appropriate size, usually up to 4x6. You can also run a flat scan of the whole bed which is done for oversized negatives, usually 8x10 contact negatives. The program used with the scanner allows you to chose the type of medium - grayscale/b&w negative, color negative, color positive.

As one of the other posters allude to, these are called magic lantern slides. I have about a half dozen or so in my archives, all Olympic swimmers and track athletes.
