Hey Guys
Got an email from a person wanting info on this bat. Here is what the note said...

"I am hoping you can give me an idea if this bat I found in my grandfather's old stuff is really that old or a remake.. The lable says "Stall & Dean" and "Biffer" with a patent pending date of 1895...
Curious if there is a value.. The bat is broken/split but still in one piece.. It certainly looks old but I could not find out much about the company or bat...

I've attached two pictures of the label on the bat.. If you need more information, let me know...

I hope you can help me!"

Any ideas? thanks much....

Cool bat . It is turn on the century for sure . The handle was comprised of several pieces so that is why some maybe missing .It does have value but would need to see more pictures to assess damage

Based on the Stall and Dean diagrams, that's an unusual form of spline bat, using a technique similar to that used on some older cricket bats. Would love to add one like that to my collection of splines.
