Prob did that on purpose to lock in spots for an eBay special before he took off for the Jewish holidays. Now that he is back he is putting in the correct prices to run his auctions.

That was my thought exactly. He is too smart for the original prices. Not sure about his ethics but he is an intelligent guy.

I have posted auctions online with decent but high buy-it nows (not so absurd as $5k, but just high enough that if they sold I would be happy, but didn't expect them to) just so that they were ready to post as an auction on the date and time I wanted them to go. It is a lot quicker to push them to an auction if they are already in the ebay system.

What's a few bucks between friends :). Agreed on why he did it though....although I thought there was an easier way to start things in the future, when selling on the bay..

There very well may be a better/easier way. I haven't researched it since I don't sell that often and typically try the BST here first which has help decrease my ebay selling.
