This 1928 Babe Ruth Candy card photo has so much more to offer than what is only on his card. I saw the photo and had to have it even though I swore off card photo's. There was No mention of the card in the auction description but when I saw it I immediately knew what it is associated with. I have sold a few sets of these 1928 Babe Ruth Candy cards but this is one of them I kept as I love the pose of Babe and what is now known to be his daughter. I am not sure it was known it is his daughter (it might have been) before this photo was found. (1926 Mid Week Pictorial Magazine scan added)

Since this encompasses both cards and memorabilia I copied it over from the front page for any of our memorabilia guys that don't go over to the dark side.....

Very nice Leon. Did you win that in Legendary?
It certainly is a beautiful photo.

Yes I did. I am glad it didn't go much higher as I might have bowed out. Like I say, I was surprised the card wasn't mentioned in the listing but whomever wrote it up probably didn't know.

The photos used for cards niche is a very cool one.
Congrats on the win.

Thanks Adam....and I will revive this thread for the 1926 Mid-Week Pictorial Magazine scan added to the first post.. At first I thought it was the same photo, now, I don't think so. Maybe same photo shoot?

Leon,
In order for me to tell for sure, I would need to see the MWP more directly, but I do think it is very likely the same image.
Congrats,
Mark

The MWP photo appears to be taken at the same instant as your original photo, but by a different photographer at a slightly different angle. Look at Ruth's feet or the lady in the stands behind the girl's mother for confirmation.
