A client of mine showed me a few singed pieces today including this Babe Ruth.
I am no experts on this one but do have my doubts!

Appreciate your thoughts on it!

It's close enough to send out for authentication but I have a bad feeling about it.

Not "might be fake."

It is a forgery.

It makes me want to throw up when I see another Ruth cut nicely framed with a worthless photo. Why on earth would anyone buy a Ruth cut if they didn't have expertise regarding Ruth's signature, or know someone who did?

Is having that piece hanging above your mantel to impress your buddies while drinking cocktails, really worth it?

Kevin, if it was just wealthy lawyers and doctors buying this stuff, then I wouldn't care - they can afford a calculated risk like a Ruth piece, even if it's a horrible risk and they don't realize it.

The problem is the autograph-ignorant people who don't have that kind of dough to waste and who aren't really collectors, but this is their dream piece. When they get screwed it's a huge deal. All the COA's and pretty frames and all the pieces like this that they see hanging on walls or in 'legitimate' dealer shops, just give them more confidence to throw their money down the toilet.
