First time I've seen firm dates and when catalog mailed, came in email just now:
**
Catalogs for the Fall Auction will mail September 26, and bidding is scheduled to begin on October 1. More than 1300 lots spanning from the 1860s to the present day will be presented. The final day for bidding will be October 18.

Also I'm now told that biggest Love of the Game auction will be late Oct.-early Nov. They have bunch of pricey CJ 14s and one of top Lajoie Goudeys ever...And LOTG also doing first catalog ever!

Yup, I got this, too. And REA has some of the items available in their fall auction now up on their homepage. Some really incredible lots, including:

-An 1878 Boston Team Cabinet w/ George and Harry Wright (Wright Sporting Goods advertising card)

-An 1879 Chicago team composite cabinet w/ Cap Anson (just beautiful. The clarity is the pictures used is incredible!)

-A 1908 PC760 Rose Company postcard of Honus Wagner

-A Sweet Caporal backed T206 Eddie Plank PSA 4.5 (nice 40-60 centering, nice clean portrait w/ no creases or wrinkles, only some minor discoloring on the border)

-A complete Fatima T222 individual players set, the #1 set on the PSA registry

-A PSA7 '15 Cracker Jack Joe Jackson

-An uncut 1933 Goudey sheet including a Babe Ruth and 4 other Hall of Famers

There are more items being previewed. The ones I listed were some of my favorites. I can't wait to see the catalog, and get bidding. :D

I really hope REA as a larger group of Old Judge. The last auction had some nice ones, but the selection was small and the prices for only for the elite collectors.

Wow!

That Rose Co. Postcard of Wagner is RIDICULOUS!

Anyone care to guess what they think the final price on that postcard will be?

Great that REA now doing 2 auctions a year, makes it a LITTLE more manageable. Their first one last year was big success--and they offered free mailing (not this time, though)....Catalog to be mailed Sept. 26. Maybe they'll do the Honus as this year's fridge magnet.
