I'm confused also. Don't they have cameras everywhere? Shouldn't be too hard to find the perps on camera.

When I think about I didn't notice any cameras. However, I have to believe that the bigger dealers had cameras.

I think in the future NSCC have a free camera to use at the national when you rent a table

I don't what people payed to get in, but the promoter should be supplying cameras. Can't believe people can walk in and steal 52 Mantles.

No cameras last year in Chicago. I didn't go this year so I don't know if Cleveland had cameras or not. Last time it was in Cleveland there were Topps sets stolen off a table so it's not just Chicago but it seems like Chicago always has more than its share of thefts by scumbags.

that would make it difficult for dealers to pull an insurance scam if they had a bad show. "oh no, my mantles got stolen!" "Well, lets go to the tape",
"Oh, never mind, I found them after all"

Well, that should cover the long and the short of the matter.

I think it would be incredibly easy to steal at the National. At most booths there were more customers than dealers. Before I left a booth I made sure the dealer had what I was looking at in hand because I didn't want to leave it on the case and have someone grab it.

On more than one occasion I asked a dealer to put something up that was just sitting out (and shouldn't have been).

I bet they appreciated it. There was one dealer that did a great job with their cards - I can't recall the name. There were two guys at the booth. They worked one on one with the customer and we're really helpful. The only catch was that they only serviced two people at a time.
