A fellow forum member helped me pick up this item. Thought I'd share it. A unused Babe Ruth check, probably from around 1942-44 based on the ledger number. Has anyone seen another blank check of his before?

Personally, never. Glad you got it and not someone looking for a 6k paypay

Very Nice Brock. If you need it completed you can always send it to Roach's Corner.

I'm kind of thinking it could go with my unused Babe Ruth envelope.

GREAT envelope. Fortunately, Brock is a good guy. that is a "scary item" in the wrong hands

Scott,
I know he wouldn't do it, but we can dream about our best Ruth check combo.

How about a custom check from Ruth to Lou Gehrig, endorsed by Gehrig on the back. In the notes area "for batting tips"

A number of years ago a seller on ebay offered a blank check from the Babe Ruth Foundation. It sold and around one month later it reappeared, on ebay, (it sure took balls to do that) and as if by magic, the Babe had signed it.
I did report it to LE but nothing was ever done about it.

How a bout an early 1948 or late 1947 check made out to Marilyn Monroe endorsed by her on the back. With "for services" in the notes area :D:D

Very cool item. I've personally never seen one either in the auction books or on ebay or any other website for sale. You usually just see them when they are autographed by him.
