Good morning All,

I recently purchase a yankee ball which was given an auction LOA from JSA which describes all sigs as authentic except for the Lefty Gomez which was deemed clubhouse. In comparing this to other vintage Gomez sigs, I am unsure why it would be deemed clubhouse (is the L?). Any feedback/thoughts are greatly appreciated, thank you!

Here's a vintage Lefty Gomez sig in an autograph book that has a JSA cert for it. You can compare.

I am far from an expert on anyone's autograph. I have seen his signature with two different variations of the G signed a year apart.

He also used both the big 'E' and little 'e' in 'Gomez'.

For every real one that's deemed to be 'clubhouse', there is probably at least one clubhouse that is deemed to be real. It all evens out.

Thanks for the thoughts gents! I just can't decipher which letter/part of signature tips it off as a clubhouse/inauthentic sig.

I think what you are hearing is that none of us can, either.
