Does anybody know anything about these books. The Young Pitcher dates from 1910 and the other is from 1911. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Max or others can jump in, but I believe that these are very common and provide a nice display option if not real value or a good read.

The Alger is a generic cover used on a number of his books which have nothing to do with baseball. (there are a number of boy's books from this time period with baseball related covers, but no baseball content. The covers can be quite nice though) The Grey is one of several baseball related books he wrote, including, The Shortstop and Redheaded Outfielder and Other Stories. These were all reprinted a number of times, with some interesting dust jackets, (I am sure Max has them all). The first edition of the Young Pitcher should be Harpers, 1911 and have the right code, which i don't remember. I think reprints were usually Burt or Grosset and Dunlap. Grey was actually a very good baseball player at the Univ of Pennsylvania, and played some minor league ball. Hope this helps.

Some of my books are in this flickr set https://www.flickr.com/photos/baseballart/sets/72157627662676073/

As others have noted, the Alger and Grey Grosset are very common.
