Hi folks: I'm not real familiar with all of the different variations/printing errors etc. Could someone please take a moment and look at this 1972 Topps #104 Toby Harrah card and let me know what you think the round white spot near the upper right star would be called. I mean, is it considered an error/variation/print spot???

Thanks in advance:

I would call it a print defect, absent some evidence that there were others printed that way.

Agree with Chris. Have some like it.

Thank you gentlemen. Would I be correct to assume this defect would make the card virtually worthless???

The Schmidt and Carlton defects above might bring a small premium from a player collector. On commons less so unless they somehow are recognized in the hobby as a variation needed for master set purposes

Yes worthless to most. For a print error collector I have seen star player cards get quite a premium. I would pay $2-$3 shipped in PWE for cards like that just to look at it in hand, I am weird I like stuff like that.

Thanks again gentlemen. I was hoping to retire off of the sale of this card, but then I remembered I'm already retired...:)...Anyway, if someone out there has any interest in this card, let me know and I'll send it your way. First come, First serve. (Priority, of course, will go to any of the fine folks who took a moment of their time to respond to my inquiry.) Have a wonderful evening...

What Al Richter posted of the pictures- I bought a 50 lot of the Schmidt maybe about 1990? They all were like his post. The upper left was a mess.
