Spotted this game in a store the other day....I'd say early 30's....Not my bag really but if it was in better shape might have got involved...Wind-up key worked so assume it's original...which would be remarkable...Apparently you wind up the playing diamond underneath and it spins...then try to get the ball to sink in one of the bases....then what happens I don't know...The fact it winds with a clock work type assembly that still works, at least somewhat, seems to make it special...Shot with lame phone camera

WOW! That is great.

I'm guessing that is about 12" by 24"?

Pretty cool piece. Thanks for sharing.

Tim, very good guess on size.
Carlton, it's a 1938 production by J&S (Joseph Schneider).
Nice to find one in working condition with the winding key, but --
please, you didn't pay the tagged price for it, did you?

One of these games in nice working condition with original parts usually goes for around $150. They are pretty cool, but not especially scarce.

I have seen two, bought one and both had the same bag of milky green marbles.

Did you guys see this ad that lists the game shown plus a Bambino game?

Joe, where are you getting those prices?
Quite different from what we've tracked...

I had a really nice one that sold for about that price a few months ago. I know those in lesser condition go for less.

Just asking... undoubtedly we've missed a few completed sales, but of the couple dozen examples we've seen actually sell on-line over the years
(asking prices don't count), only one topped $100., and that was a near-pristine game. Rougher examples have typically gone off in the $35.-$50. range.
Thanks for the input.

I absolutely love finding ads like this.....it's like "Whoa! there's my thing!" Old ads could solve a lot of mysteries for me....

$32 per dozen ($2.67 each) :D
