Hello all, I was just wondering if i could get some opinions on T206 'Burns'. To me it looks like his glove is upside down. It appears he is wearing a left handed glove and throwing lefty, but the artwork looks to me like the webbing and thumb slot is where his pinky would be. Has anyone else noticed this or does this correctly resemble old time gloves?

Also, has anyone noticed anything else curious on any other T206's ?

Please add to the discussion....

Thanks,

Frank

I've noticed recently how ridiculously big the uniform looks on the Lake NY card and the Wid Conroy fielding, his glove doesn't line up with his uniform. Conroy's arm looks way too long and I think they made Lake's uniform big enough to write New York on it

Has it ever been mentioned that there were some gloves used in the dead ball era that were ambidextrous? They had 2 thumbs basically so either a righty or lefty could use them. I submit, maybe this was the case.

Check the thread linked above, it shows his T3 card, which is the same pose and the glove is correct

Glove is different, T3 vs. T206, but still not a 'normal' glove. Count the fingers. Ambidextrous glove I still believe.

When I started collecting T206s one thing I noticed was the player's belt buckles.

Some cards have the buckle in the front, some on the side for sliding purposes and some have no buckle at all. Like the Lake that was posted earlier in this thread.
