Is this a real Munson or a clubhouse? I believe the ball is a 1979 team signed. The munson looks like a older style auto. Comparing it to most autos on 1977-79 balls his normal auto is smaller.

This is the one from EBay right? Someone emailed me asking about it.

No good imo...

Doesn't look like Thurman's hand to me...

I would agree no good IMO. Looks too slowly written and too neat.

Thanks guys. What do you think of these other autos on the ball. Like I said its a 1979 yankee ball.

I think most of the signatures look real. The only one, beside Munson, that concerns me, is the Nettles as the ink is much darker and the sig is in a form I am not familiar with. I would say the Munson is a clubhouse version.

Munson definitely clubhouse.

It might just be me, but aside from Munson, I think all the sigs in black (the darker ones) might be clubhouse. The Nettles, Guidry and Dent seem off compared to IP ones I got back in those days.

Same thing...the darker black ones don't seem right to me.

Don Hood...good (one of my all-time favorite sigs)
Chambliss...good
Doyle...looks off
Randoph...way off

Got the ball today even though I now know I paid too much. Here's a closer view of the Martin and the Jackson. Is either one good? The martin is a darker auto but compared to good Martin autos on team balls it looks like a match, but I'm not the expert... thanks

Just my opinion, but I don't like the Martin auto either.

The Randolph isn't even close to my IP ball.

And it very well could be. It doesn't seem to match my 80's A's balls, but there might be a reason for that.

Here are some Billy Martin sweet spot examples. You can definitely tell a difference in the B in Billy and M in Martin.

Nate,
Just curious why the three you post all seem to be signed differently. Are they clubhouse or real?

Don't they though? These all came from 3 different auctions. All of which were psa or jsa authenticated.

One of these has to be a clubhouse but neither auction mentions it. So never mind, I honestly don't know.
