Recently I picked up a lot of 68-70 OPC cards from a seller in Canada to fill in some holes in my OPC sets. Included in this lot of several hundred cards were some last series 69 Topps (not OPC) cards. What was interesting about these 69 Topps cards is the fact that all of them had at least one and in some cases multiple rough edges, similar to a typical OPC cut. Having gone through many 1000s of 69s to build my Topps set, I do not recall seeing this many OPC type rough edges with the 69s Topps. I started wondering if Topps may have sold uncut sheets of 69s to OPC to cut and distribute in Canada. Based on the cutting of the edges and where these cards came from this would not seem out of line. Also, this could have served as a test for OPC to see how issuing cards later in the year (later series) would work. It this was a test, it must of worked well enough as OPC issued a 720 card set in 1970. Any ideas on this?

I have never seen the last two series of 1970 O-Pee-Chee. Are you sure they did a full parallel set in 1970?

It was 71 (not 70) I was thinking of as they did issue the full set that year, but with the 70s all but the last two series were issued which more than doubled the size of the 69 set. Any ideas if the last series of 69s were issued by Topps in Canada via OPC?
