I know some of you don't have great opinions of Todd Mueller, but his auction this week contains an "Incredibly rare" Al Capone signature. Why someone who owned that would not put it in an RRAuction is beyond me.

Autographs outside of sports is not really for me, but I was curious, those that are, does this look authentic and is the "The Doll House" provenance iron clad? They said the previous Capone sold for $14k, so I will be watching this to see the final hammer.

Very interesting, but don't know much beyond sports signatures. I do know it would be an incredibly desirable autograph to have in your collection. Hopefully someone who knows more about it will comment.

BTW, it's not off topic if it's an autograph. Primarily is key

Maybe try the past RR Auctions and compare; I know that they have sold a couple. I'm by no means an expert...at all!!!...but I know that he did sign his "P's" like that (with the tall neck).

My opinion: No good.

The 2 Capones look nothing alike in ANY way--surely 2 different hands, I would say!

Where is "Chicager" anyhow?

If you look at some of the other pages from this book you will see other people signing with oddball names and the such. Increases the probability of this not quite being the real Al. As just pointed out, do you think someone like Capone would misspell his hometown? Highly unlikely.
