Acorrding to the power point presentation linked above by Ralph J. Christian,
"The Making of a Millionaire: Ty “Brains” Cobb and the Entrepreneurial Spirit"
Cobb was part owner of the W.B. Jarvis Company from 1912-1914.

Based on the blotchy finish, initially I thought it looked fake as I've seen new "vintage" fatigued trophies that looked similiar...Not a very clear photo...almost looks like Mao Tse-tung...however, there was a similiar trophy in Hunt's see below.

ok so a nice one goes for 2K and the original poster/nut wants $100K for his Chairman Mao Cobb piece. Makes sense to me.

Thanks for the information on the Cup Carlton.
No Thanks to Paul though.

The Loving Cup I have is real, not a very good picture. I found this Loving Cup at an antique store in the late 1980's.

Did you not see the smiley face at the end of my message. Of course it is not worth $100,000. I was just trying to find out if anyone had seen another and that worked. This is the 1st I have seen since I found mine.

Also, using the word nut was not necessary

Very cool collection Joe!
Just thought I'd share these pants that I consigned to Hunts for their SuperBowl Auction. They are WB Jarvis Ty Cobb Reeded football pants.

Joe, Really nice collection...wasn't even familiar with Jarvis till this post....much less anyone who collected it...That Ralph J. Christian did a real good presentation in that power point...quick concise...learned a lot...I'm guessing you may be from Detroit to collect Jarvis...By the way...you'll see another of that small yellow Jarvis poster in the 2013 National story I'll be posting on my site pretty quick...was in the booth of Brian Dec I believe

I recall reading Cobb retired to Palo Alto California and was quite a character...got in a beef with P.G.& E., the local utilities company over his bill....refused to pay it...they shut off his power....he lived without gas and electricity to show'um who's boss....

Another one I recall was he was up in Lake Tahoe with friends...I guess at a cabin or something....he wanted to go into town or casinos or something...friends were afraid to drive in snowstorm....and he drove them all at hair raising speeds...Something like all that but point was he had to have his way and show up everybody...

Here is a Ty Cobb WB Jarvis tennis racket that I listed with Mears tonight - great clean decal. I have a bunch of Jarvis stock certificates - PM with your address me if you win the racket and I'll send you a few. You have to spend your life kicking around Grand Rapids farms with Bryan Dec to find this stuff.

Yes, a couple of items I have are from Bryan. Have known him for years.
